December 19, 2005 - The Cozad Police Department is currently investigating a criminal mischief that occurred to the Daylight Donut Shop in Cozad. Sometime between 12-13-05 and 12-14-05, person(s) unknown damaged the front window of the shop, causing in excess of $400 in damage. Information that leads to the arrest of those responsible will receive a Christmas cash reward.

December 12, 2005 - The Dawson County Crime Stoppers is requesting your help in searching for fugitives from the law. If you know the whereabouts of a person with an active warrant, contact the crime stoppers hotline. If an arrest is made, then you will receive a cash reward.

December 4, 2005 - The shooting of a bull in Gosper County is this week's Crime of the Week. Sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on 11-12-05, person(s) unknown shot a bull located near Road 749 and 437. The bull appeared to have been shot several times, causing death to the $2,500 animal.  Information leading to arrest of whoever is responsible for this crime will receive a cash reward.

November 28, 2005 - The Dawson County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the theft of an ultrasound machine from the Plum Creek Vet Clinic. Sometime around 09 -12-05, person(s) unknown removed the machine in a black cloth case from the business and is valued over $7,000.00. Information leading to an arrest in this felony theft case will get you a Christmas cash reward.

November 21, 2005 - The Gothenburg Police Department is currently investigating a burglary. Sometime in the early morning hours of 11-13-05, person(s) unknown entered into G-Tec by negotiating a large glass door. Once inside the burglar(s) removed an Argon bottle and an Invertech Welder. The value of the property stolen is around $3,000 and information that leads to an arrest in this case will get you cash.

November 14, 2005 - Theft of reloading equipment is this week's Crime of the Week. Sometime during the past three months, person(s) unknown entered into a farmhouse located north of Cozad approximately six miles, and removed nearly $5,000 worth of reloading supplies. The Dawson County Sheriff's Office needs your help to blow open this case. Information leading to an arrest will get you a cash reward.

November 7, 2005 - The Dawson County Crime Stoppers encourages anyone with knowledge of a past crime, drug trafficking, or information about the whereabouts of fugitives to call the Crime Stoppers hotline. October 31, 2005 - The Cozad Police Department continues to investigate several thefts from Burger King of Cozad. During the past several weeks, thieves have taken an undisclosed amount of money from the franchise and several suspects have been developed. Additional information that leads to the arrests of those thieves responsible will receive a cash reward in these felony cases.

October 24, 2005 - The Dawson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a theft that occurred in the 200 block of West 7th Street in Gothenburg. Sometime between 10-05 -05 and 10-19-05, person(s) unknown took a 1995 Polaris 4-wheeler, blue in color from the residence. Information leading to an arrest in this felony theft case will get you a cash reward.

October 17, 2005 - The Dawson County Sheriff's office is investigating a theft that occurred in Overton. Sometime after 06-01-05, person(s) unknown entered into a residence and removed two handguns. One of the guns was described as a Beretta 9mm and the other is a Smith and Wesson 357 magnum, the loss was estimated at $800. Information leading to the arrest of the subject(s) responsible for this crime will receive a cash reward.

October 10, 2005 - Dawson County Law enforcement continues to investigate several vehicular vandalisms. During the past couple of weeks during the late night, person(s) unknown have forcibly gained entry to numerous vehicles by breaking the passenger side windows. Once inside, the thief(s) have taken several personal items. Information leading to the arrest of the subjects involved will receive a cash reward.

October 3, 2005 -The Dawson County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate a vandalism that occurred to a rural house outside of Cozad. Sometime between 10-4 -04 and 10-5-04, person(s) unknown shot out 22 windows and damaged the siding on the residence using a black powder type gun. Information leading to arrest in this felony case will receive a reward from Crime Stoppers and the owner of the residence.

September 25, 2005 - The Gothenburg Police Department is investigating a theft that occurred sometime between 09-23-05 at 11:00 pm and the morning of 09-24-05. A United States flag and the State of Nebraska flag was stolen from the Veterans Memorial located at Lake Helen in Gothenburg. Information leading to an arrest in this case will get you a cash reward.

September 19, 2005 - The Dawson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a residential burglary that occurred outside of Cozad on Road 763. Sometime between 09-03-05 at 10:30 PM and 09-19-05 at 9:30 PM, burglar(s) unknown forcibly entered through the back door. Once inside, several tools were taken from the residence. Information that leads to the arrest of the responsible person(s) will get a cash reward.

September 12, 2005 - The Cozad Police Department is seeking information pertaining to several complaints. Sometime during the late night hours of 09-10-05 and 09-11 -05, unknown subject(s) entered into several motor vehicles, and removed personal property from them including credit cards, stereo equipment, and CD's. Information leading to an arrest in this case will get you a cash reward.

September 5, 2005 - Dawson County Law Enforcement frequently seeks information to aid in prevention of underage drinking. If you know of any events, locations, or parties that involve underage drinking contact the Crime Stoppers hotline. Information that leads to the arrest of subjects that provide alcoholic beverage, or underage drinkers, will be eligible for a cash reward.

August 28, 2005 - Dawson County law enforcement regularly seeks information pertaining to drug use and drug sales. People that typically sell illegal narcotics frequently have heavy foot traffic in and out of the home at all hours. Strong odors typically accommodate these residences as well. If you suspect drugs being dealt in your neighborhood, call Crime Stoppers, information leading to arrest could get you a cash reward.

August 22, 2005 - The Cozad Police Department is currently investigating a burglary involving a large amount of collector money. Sometime between 2:30pm & 11:15pm on 8-3-05 burglars unknown forced entry into a mobile home located on Birch Lane. Large amounts of non-circulated money were removed from the residence. Your information leading to an arrest in this case could cash you in on a reward.

August 15, 2005 - Your help is needed to help catch thieves. The Cozad Police Department is currently investigating several thefts in the Cozad area. During the past two weeks, thefts have been occurring during the late night, or early morning hours. The thief(s) have been entering into several motor vehicles and removing items from the vehicles. Information leading to an arrest in this case will drive home a cash reward.

August 8, 2005 - The Cozad Police Department is currently investigating a criminal mischief to the Cozad swimming pool that occurred between 7/31/05 & 8/1/05. Unknown subject(s) threw hazardous items into the pool causing it to be closed. Crime Stoppers will float you a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest in this case.

August 1, 2005 - The Gothenburg Police Department is currently investigating a theft from Pony Express Chevrolet. Sometime between 8:00 p.m. on 07-25-05 and 8:00 a .m. on 07-26-05, person(s) unknown removed 5 KC spotlights from a white 97 Dodge pickup. The pickup was parked at their facility at the time of the theft. Any information that would shed light on this case leading to an arrest will receive a cash reward.

July 25, 2005 - The Dawson Country Sheriff's Office is investigating a theft that occurred sometime between 6-10-05 & 6-20-05. Person(s) unknown stole in excess of 70-aluminum irrigation pipes and the trailer. The theft occurred near Road 770 and Hwy 47 near a shelter-belt of trees. The value of the property stolen is in excess of $4500. Information leading to an arrest in this crime will get you a cash reward.

July 11, 2005 - The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating criminal mischief that have occurred at the Cozad westbound I-80 rest area. During the late night or early morning hours unknown subject(s) have forcibly entered into several vending machines damaging the locks and removing money. The damage to the vending machines exceeds $600. Information leading to an arrest will get you a cash reward.

July 4, 2005 - The Gothenburg Police Department is investigating a theft of a four wheeler that occurred after 9:00 pm on 06-17-05. Person(s) unknown removed a green '02 Kawasaki Bayou KLF 300 two-wheel drive ATV with a 15-gal spray tank mounted on the front from outside of the City Park Maintenance Shop located in the 300 block of 27th Street. Any information on this case could get you a cash reward.

June 27, 2005 - When you call the Crime Stoppers hotline, your name and all of your information remains anonymous. You will be assigned a number after providing information related to a crime and a call back date and time. June 20, 2005 - The Cozad Police Department is currently investigating a vandalism that occurred between the hours of 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. on 5-5-05. During this time unknown person(s) broke the passenger door window of a Ford pickup while parked in the Monroe parking lot. The estimated amount of damage is approximately $100. June 13, 2005 - The Cozad Police Department is currently investigating a residential burglary that occurred sometime between the evening hours 06/01/05-06/02/05. During this time an acoustical guitar, DVD player, speaker, and a briefcase were taken from the 300 block of Sunrise Rd. A cash reward could be music to your ears if you provide information that leads to an arrest in this felony case.

June 5, 2005 - The Dawson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary that occurred in the Lakeview Acres (Johnson Lake) area. Sometime on 05-29-05 after 2:00 a.m., person(s) unknown entered into the residence through a window and removed several items. Many of those items were electronic devices, and the estimated loss is $3,800. Crime Stoppers will pay cash reward for information leading to arrest.

May 30, 2005 - The Cozad Police Department is investigating a theft from a mobile home located in the 600 block of E. 4th St. Unknown person(s) removed numerous items from the residence. Some items taken include fishing equipment, chain saw, talking fish and deer trophy and an electrical circuit tester. The estimated loss is $670 .00. Your information could help catch the person(s) responsible and get you a cash reward.

May 23, 2005 - The Cozad Police Department is investigating several reported criminal mischief's that have occurred to the Agrilliance facility in Cozad. Vandal(s) unknown on several occasions have caused extensive damage to a large tarp, a shed door, & spray painted storage tanks. The Dawson County Crime Stoppers asks for witnesses that may have been present to receive cash for information leading to arrests.

May 16, 2005 - The Dawson County Sheriff's Office is investigating several burglaries that occurred near the Plum Creek Canyon area. Sometime during the early morning hours of 02-27-05, person(s) entered into two cabins and removed various items from those residences including alcoholic beverage, hand tools, and fishing gear. Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward for information leading to arrest in this case.

May 9, 2005 - The Lexington Police Department is investigating the theft of a monitor from an unlocked van, while parked at the Dawson County Courthouse parking lot (south). Sometime on 04-27-05, thief(s) unknown removed a silver container (Ridgid KD200 valued at $3,265) with a red handle from the van. It is likely that the thief(s) believed it was a toolbox. Information leading to arrest will get you a cash reward.

May 2, 2005 - The Dawson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary that occurred in Eddyville. Sometime between 7:00am and 3:00pm on 04-20-05 burglar(s) unknown entered into a residence and removed approximately $443 in cash. Other personal effects were gone through while in commission of this crime. Information leading to arrest will pay you a cash reward.

April 25, 2005 - The Cozad Police Department is currently investigating a criminal mischief that occurred to a vehicle. Sometime between 2:30pm and 11:00pm on 04 -19-05, vandal(s) unknown damaged the driver's side of a Mercury Sable while parked at the Monroe Auto Equipment facility. Information leading to arrest in this case could get you a cash break.

April 18, 2005 - The Cozad Police Department is currently investigating several complaints of damage to a downtown business. Sometime during the evening hours, criminal(s) have damaged the lock and door at the Main Event hair salon. Subject(s) who provide information that lead to arrest in this case will be cut some cash.

April 11, 2005 - The Dawson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a theft that occurred sometime between 03-27-05 and 04-03-05. Sometime during those dates, thief(s) removed several items from two outbuildings including a bike, tools, and a welder from the rural location. The estimated loss of items exceeds $2,000 and Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward that leads to an arrest in this felony case.

April 4, 2005 - The Cozad Police Department is investigating a theft that occurred in downtown Cozad. Sometime around 1:00 a.m., thief(s) took two pool cues from a bar, one of which being a "Rat" brand cue with dark colored wood on the handle. The other was described as having an orange and black handle. Both cues had black cases and were estimated to be in excess of $500. Suspects have been developed in this case.

March 28, 2005 - The Cozad Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred sometime in the evening hours of 2-14-05 & early morning hours of 2-15-05. An unknown person(s) entered through a window on the north side of an apartment located at 1210 E. 8th St. in Cozad. Many items were taken and the apartment was ransacked. Suspects have been developed. Your call could get you a cash reward!

March 21, 2005 - The Gothenburg Police Department continues to investigate a theft from Walkers Family Steak House. Sometime after 10:45pm on 10-26-04, person(s) unknown took a blue 2003 Yamaha Blaster ATV. The four-wheeler is valued at $3,100 making this a felony theft. Information leading to an arrest in this case will put cash in your wallet.

March 14, 2005 - The Gothenburg Police Department is investigating a Criminal Mischief that occurred on 02-27-05. At approximately 11:00 pm on that date, person (s) unknown drove a pickup truck onto several residents' property, damaging yards and mailboxes. Several parts of the vehicle were located on the scene. Information leading to arrest in this case will get you a cash reward.

March 7, 2005 - The Dawson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary to the Earth Science Lab located in Overton. Sometime during the night hours of 02-22-05, person(s) unknown pried into the facility & removed power tools, laptop computer, chain saw, tool boxes, cutting torches, & many other items totaling over $11,000. By giving us the dirt in this felony case, we'll give you the cash.

February 28, 2005 - The Dawson County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate damage to a rural residence that occurred between 10-04-04 and 10-05-04. Sometime during those dates, person(s) unknown shot at an abandoned residence outside of Cozad with a black powder type gun. Damage exceeds $5,000 to 22 windows and the siding in this felony criminal mischief case.

To Whom It May Concern:

On 01-24-05, the Dawson County Crime Stoppers received information about a burglary that was reported in the Cozad area. The caller gave information about how the burglar traded stolen property for drugs. During the course of the investigation, this information was confirmed and an arrest was made for Burglary. The caller also gave information about a subject who frequently had illegal narcotics and firearms on his person. That person was also subsequently arrested in the Cozad area.

Unfortunately, the caller that gave the information to the Dawson County Crime Stoppers has not claimed the $200 cash reward. The caller is urged to call the Crime Stoppers number and provide their caller identification number to receive the cash reward.

The Dawson County Crime Stoppers program encourages anyone to call with information about suspected criminal activity or any crime. Cash rewards are paid out to anonymous callers. Their identity is not compromised or obtained, and they don't have to testify in court. Each caller is given a specific call number and can pick up the reward at any location they choose. The caller doesn't have to pick up the reward, rather can have anyone they trust with that number pick up the reward.

February 21, 2005 - The Dawson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary that occurred to a Johnson Lake residence. Your call leading to an arrest could safely land you a cash reward for this felony crime. Sometime during the day on 02-13-05, subject(s) entered into the residence and removed a safe containing cash and other miscellaneous items.

February 14, 2005 - The Dawson County Sheriff's Office is investigating damage to several doors that occurred at 4URToys Storage located at Johnson Lake. Sometime between 12-30-04 and 01-03-05, subject(s) unknown damaged six storage unit doors, causing more than $4,000 to the unit. Information leading to arrest in this felony criminal case will receive a cash reward.

February 7, 2005 - The Cozad Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at Pizza Hut located in Cozad. During the early morning hours of 01-28-05, subjects entered into the business and removed $500 from the safe and left the area. Suspects have been developed in this felony case. Additional information that helps lead to their arrest will put dough in your pocket.

January 31, 2005 - Dawson County law enforcement encourages the general public to be aware of scams on the Internet. Nebraska citizens have been contacted on the Internet and scammed by cashier's checks. The item in question is typically a large item that is difficult to ship and the buyer is willing to pay well in excess the agreed amount. If you suspect Internet crime, please contact your local law enforcement agency.

January 24, 2005 - The Lexington Police Department is investigating a motor vehicle theft that occurred in the evening hours 01-21-05. At approximately 7:00 p.m., thief or thieves unknown took a parked motor vehicle from the Veterans Memorial Club and subsequently burned it approximately one block north of that location. Information leading to arrest in this felony case will warm up your wallet to a substantial cash reward.

January 17, 2005 - The Cozad Police Department is investigating a criminal mischief that occurred to the Paulsen's main office building. Sometime on 10-03-04, vandal(s) unknown shot out the front office door of that building, damaging the glass to the door. The damage sustained to the door is in excess of $500. Person(s) with information leading to arrest in this case will receive a cash reward.

January 10, 2005 - The Dawson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary that occurred between 01-05-05 and 01-06-05. During those dates, burglar(s) entered into the Paulsen's Warehouse, located near Cozad, by cutting a padlock. Once inside, subjects entered into a cabinet & removed approximately $250 in cash. Information that locks on to an arrest in this felony case could get you a hard cash reward.

January 3, 2005 - The Dawson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a theft from a motor vehicle that occurred in Overton, Nebraska. Between 12-24-04 and 12-31-04, thief(s) unknown entered into two parked, unlocked motor vehicles and removed a CD player, speakers, and amplifiers. Law enforcement is searching for those subjects and stolen property. Information leading to arrest in this case could help you rock in the New Year with a cash reward.
