DAWSON COUNTY SHERIFF PRESS RELEASE

At approximately 10:30 p.m. Saturday January 11, 2003 the Dawson County Sheriff's Office and the Cozad Police Department, with the help of the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office, served a search
warrant at a rural Cozad residence.
As a result of this search warrant an active Methamphetamine lab was located. Also precursor chemicals used in the manufacture of Methamphetamine were seized. The Drug
Enforcement Administration assisted in the investigation and cleanup of the Methamphetamine lab sight.
Arrested at the location were Francis Stevenson, age 41 of rural Cozad, Kenneth Umbarger, age 45 of Cozad, Billy Crouse Jr., age 27 of Cozad, and Howard L. Snider, age
46 of rural Cozad. All were booked into the Dawson County Jail charged with manufacturing Methamphetamine and Howard Snider is additionally charged with felon in possession of a firearm.
The investigation of this C.O.D.E. Drug Task Force case is continuing.
