March 4, 2002 - The Lexington Police Department is investigating a theft from Platte Valley Auto Mart. Someone over the weekend of February 22nd through the 24th stole a six-foot black fiberglass gorilla off the roof of the business. This item was screwed, and tied down by cable.
This theft is believed to be associated with another theft of a vehicle and a burglary of the same property also occurring over the same time frame.
